The New Merger Guidelines: Controlling Case Law and New Economics

Friday, October 27, 2023

University of Utah, Alumni House, Ballroom B

Event Description

The Proposed New Merger Guidelines chart a new course compared to previous versions of the Guidelines, which were increasingly defendant-friendly in terms of market concentration and defenses. This conference examines the proposed new Guidelines in light of modern economics and relevant controlling caselaw to determine the benefits and detriments of the 13 guideline principles. We invite experts in the field to weigh in for the benefit of improving antitrust merger enforcement.
